The porcelain itself certainly appears to be fine and old. It is definitely imported and does not appear to be similar to anything made here in the US in the mid 20th century. I could find nothing in a design similar in my research, however. It is offered as what I suspect it is: a imported blank hand-painted by an artist in 1860.
It is beautifully painted but not perfectly painted in a Limoges-style with the heavy gold accents to the handles and rims; and the blush pinkish and greenish backgrounds. The gold flowers speak for themselves. This does make a lovely display. The set consists of the following pieces: Tray - measures 16 by 12 inches Pot - measures 9 inch tall to the top of the lid Covered Sugar 4 inches tall to top of the lid Creamer 6 Matching Cup - each measures 2 3/4 inches tall and 2 3/4 inch diameter at the lip. As this is one of a kind, I prefer to err on the side of over-packing rather than underpacking. Full merchandise value is declared. Please request an invoice before paying to ensure your savings!
