I have tried to capture the beauty of this shade in my pictures, but even they don't really do the lamp justice. I will guarantee that when you get it, it will look much MUCH better in person. In terms of statistics, the shade is 16" in diameter and the lamp stands 21 1/2" tall. The shade is supported on a 2-socket, deep red.
Patinaed, "arrow root" style base. The finish on this base is 100% original, and is in very nice condition. The base has its original General Electric labeled sockets and ball ended pull chains. It has been recently wired with period style cloth braided cord and comes ready to use and enjoy. My last photo shows this lamp as it is pictured in the original Pittsburgh catalog (which has been copied by the book entitled "Better Eclectic Lamps of the 20's and 30's with prices" from which I took this shot).
If you like lamps or need parts please feel free to look at my other auctions or contact me. That being said, please do not embarrass yourself with a lowball offer thinking you are going to get such a lamp like this.
It is just a waste of both of our times. If you want to get a cheap lamp, go to WalMart or Ikea. If you are watching this just to watch and see if it sells, that's fine. The item "Antique Pittsburgh Reverse Painted Rose Boarder Lamp Handel Era" is in sale since Sunday, October 7, 2018.
