Antique Hand Painted Roses Ornate Brass Oil Kerosene Hanging Lamp GWTW
This is a beautiful mid-19th century Victorian hanging oil library lamp with hand painted roses 14 dome shade. After doing some research, I thought this lamp may be made by John Scott of England, but I do not know where to look for a mark. My hanging brackets are different as well as having a different font. The lamp has never been electrified and the font is complete with fill cap. Nothing is broken, cracked, or repaired. I believe the rose shade has been replaced somewhere through its life time, as it appears to be newer, rather than antique. The prisms condition are good with no noticeable damage. The lamp measures 43" from top to bottom, the shade measures 14" in diameter, the frame measures about 14 across the middle. I simply describe to the best of my ability. Truly lovely display of a by-gone Era. The item "Antique Hand Painted Roses Ornate Brass Oil Kerosene Hanging Lamp GWTW" is in sale since Tuesday, October 13, 2020.
